I used to be nice and it got me hurt. Now I'm a cynic and horrible. I choose to be this way to avoid being hurt over and over again.

@SW-User It does but it sure does hurt less as compared to having people hurt you and abandon you. It hurts much less because you don't need to worry about people staying plus I have the upper hand with less expectations now.
