Coronavirus is not an excuse for you to be xenophobic to Asians, especially Chinese.

No matter how much you try to justify by saying "Oh it's because of the coronavirus," you cannot hide your racist ass.

Do you mean like avoiding chinese people because of the virus?
Ryannnnnn · 31-35, M
@Ryannnnnn Well i'll be honest, I don't really care if i see a chinese person on the street but I'm not going to Chinatown where I am in case someones had relatives over. Not gonna tempt fate but not gonna cross the street if I see someone either.

@Ryannnnnn That's one. Ignorant people assume every Chinese they meet has coronavirus.

@SW-User They're just scared and don't want to die. I can't blame anyone unless they're actually being abusive which unfortunately you always get some idiots who're like that. Its just the reality of the situation.
SW-User
@Ryannnnnn I don't blame them until they blurt out shit like "Chinese are dog eaters, so they get the virus." That has nothing to do with coronavirus. It's just pure ignorance and racism.

@SW-User Thats pretty rude lol. I know somebody said that it was because people were eating bats but its very rare for anyone to actually eat them. It was speculated that it was probably passed on by bats to another species and then us but nobody knows right now apart from the fact it was discovered near a food market.

@Ryannnnnn No, it's actually true that there's a city in China where people eat bats. It's called Wuhan. But how the outbreak started is still a debate. Some people said it came from a leak in a lab in China.

@SW-User Yeah It seems suspicious because of the way the government was punishing whistleblowers and trying to keep people quiet. I'm not in either camp atm but who knows at this point. I'm pretty sure a microbiologist confirmed it wasn't man-made but it was definitely unusual or rare to occur in nature. So theres a lot of possibilities atm.

@Ryannnnnn Meanwhile, people shouldn't allow it to bring out the worst in them, in my opinion.

@SW-User Agreed 🙂
