Did your grandmother have a plastic-covered sofa in her living room?

Years ago, people -- it seemed often people who came from an immigrant background -- would cover their furniture with clear plastic covers. You'd go into a family living room and all the furniture would be covered in plastic. You'd sit down on a sofa or a chair -- and every time you moved an inch the plastic would make a creaking noise. Did your grandmother have plastic covered furniture?

Lol, that was the difference between my paternal and maternal grandparents’ homes. My father’s parents had 5 grandchildren, we’d sit carefully on the plastic and not speak unless we were spoken to. Grandmother would offer us her cheek to kiss.
My mother’s parents had about 35 grandchildren. Kids, dogs and cats everywhere on everything all the time. Grandmaman would come in and scoop up two of us at a time, laughing.
So different.
