If someone treats you poorly for no reason, don't take it personally. It speaks volumes about them, not you.

It costs nothing to be kind. No one heals himself by wounding another. Those who treat others kindly, and with love, have a very unique and rare gift for the world. If you want kindness, be the example. You teach people how you want to be treated, but do it from your heart. Don't just go through the motions. Some may not be receptive, but they may remember how nice it felt, for once, though they would never let on. Just a smile can make someone's day. You never know what they've been through, or how one small gesture can make a huge impact, and perhaps that tiny spark, may be just enough to turn their life around. What good is love, if you don't practice it yourself, and that's where it also needs to begin, if we want to see a change in this world. Be good to yourself, as well, and give yourself the love you deserve or missed out on. Then you can share it with others. The idea is nothing new, of course, but that's the point. It works, and we need to start somewhere, and what better place than with us? After all...our purpose is to learn to love and help each other. It's really a lifelong endeavor in cultivating a kind and loving heart. If that was so easy, I think we'd be seeing better results. ❤️🤗

That is a truly wonderful idea and much needed right now. The whole world seems to be focused on feeling victimized and angry. It is all around us. If each of us could focus on the beauty and the love in the world, perhaps real change can become possible. Even if it is simply within the walls of your own home, or work or your body. I honestly believe that is the grassroots movement worth getting behind.
Thank you for sharing this.
@Abqfunguy That's such a lovely message, in itself. Thank you so much for contributing these important thoughts. May we all put them into practice.

@LadyGrace Smiling at one another, even when you don't feel like smiling, thinking of others and letting them go first, like you said- agreeing to not taking anything personally and letting those around you know that no matter what, you love them. Little things that cost nothing, but make a huge impact. These seemingly small acts can have an impact beyond the moment. And even if they are simply a kind act in a passing moment, that was a wonderful moment. And those are the most important ones in life.
@Abqfunguy Amen to that!! 👍️
