@TexChik lone (it appears) terrorist attack. He stabbed several, some reports say one person died. Passersby tackled him and sat on him until police arrived. He resisted they saw he had an explosive vest so shot him dead. Vest was a fake like previous London Bridge / Borough Market attack.

Yes police did right thing shooting him. Expect Corbyn thought it was wrongly and wanted him to face a trial

@Nyloncapes I'd always want them to face questioning and trial so you learn more about their motives, how they were radicalised to help address how we stop others going the same way. Additionally I'd want him to spend the rest of his life in gaol considering what he did.
However having watched the footage and given the vest the officer had no choice and obviously had to shoot to kill to reduce the risk. That's sadly why they wear the dummy vests they want to be martyrs it's a shame he wasn't denied that.

The Brits use knives instead of guns - because guns are not allowed. If they were, your nation would be one hailstorm of bullets. It's not the weapon it's the mentality..
