Can android phones be set to route automatically to voicemail.? Like can I hide the number but still keep it in my phone ?

Yes. You can set all your calls to directly go to voicemail or to even go straight to another number . I can show you how if you like

No. Either turn the phone off or don't answer the call.

Turn it off. Or use Airplane Mode. Either should work.
