Should we destroy supplies left for illegal immigrants?

I've seen videos and read about border control doing this regularly. Should they continue to do this, and should others do this too to help them and be good citizens? Do you think it's good to discourage immigrants from making dangerous trips or is it inconsiderate? Is it wasteful or does it clean up areas and keep wild animals away? Also, I usually hear about this being done with food and drinks, but if it's going to be done shouldn't it be with clothes and shoes as well? Btw, the supplies are usually left by civil rights groups in opposition to the government. Should that stop or not? It seems most people feel strongly either one way or the other on this issue, so what are your thoughts?

Somebody who has journeyed hundreds of miles to flee oppression or because they feel their best hope for survival lies on the other side of some imaginary man-made line isnt going to be deterred by eliminating a few supplies. All destroying supplies does is add a new method by which they might die into the equation of their journey. It wont deter anyone because by the time they reach that point, they've already committed everything to the trek. At some point we have to ask ourselves where our humanity lies and act accordingly.

@Shade70 Well said!

would you rather kill them than have them immigrate, in other words?
I doubt they give a fuck about your supplies. When there’s a will, there’s a way.

Leaving supplies is the humane thing to do. The attempts will be made anyway.

@LithiumDrop So you're saying it doesn't matter? I'm a bit confused because you said they probably don't care about the supplies but then seem to support leaving them.
@matttheman13 Of course they are going to use whatever supplies they find, it’s not an easy migration. It’s very dangerous, but that doesn’t stop them.
