I say thank you, and usually return the compliment. I can always find something about another person to compliment. I get a lot of compliments on my hair and I just throw my hands up and say, "I have good hair." It's not egotistical, just a thing. Everyone has a good thing about them!!

@Madeleine Thank you, hon. You know where I really perfected compliments? When I was a Mary Kay beauty consultant for 8 years. But I realized later that it's a really good life skill! And giving people sincere compliments on their talents, skills, and character is the ultimate compliment.
