When someone says you look like you've lost weight, do you think they are trying to flatter you?

Especially when you know the number on the scale has not changed. 🙄

Not sure it's a deliberate attempt to flatter more an attempt to make the person feel good on first sighting in a while.

I mean you have to admit it sounds a whole lot better than "DREAMY !!!! You're nowhere near as fat as i remember !".......🙄
@Picklebobble2 True, that does sound better.

When I lost about 30 pounds a couple of years ago, a woman who hadn't seen me in a while said "Oh my goodness! Where's the rest of you?"

@DreamyCrush My weight has yo-yo'd all my life. I know that when i'm busy, i tend to lose and maintain a lower weight far more easily. I feel good, i eat properly.Sleep regularly. And just feel generally better.
And then of course there are the 'other' times....😣
@Picklebobble2 I can relate. I don't exercise as often as I should, don't eat as well and as early as I should, and I realize it's all within my control, but it gets tough as you get older.
