When someone says you look like you've lost weight, do you think they are trying to flatter you?

Especially when you know the number on the scale has not changed. 🙄

Whenever I say that, I make sure that they've lost weight. Has to be obvious to me though. But yes, if they know you and perhaps they know you've been working on it, it's a gesture of flattery.
