I don't know about curing herpes, but it is great for skin. I put the oil on after a shower from my head to the tops of my feet. As someone mentioned, it is great on the face. It has other good uses too.

I don't have herpes thank God lol, but I use coconut oil as a face cleanser. Two fingers worth and rub into skin for 30 seconds, then follow with a warm rag on the face to open pores, then rinse and dry off. I started 10 days ago and I think it's doing a great job. I also do my neck and chest area too. :)

Coconut oil can help a multitude of health problems. Researchers have noticed that there isn't any AIDS in parts of Africa where coconut or palm oil is the only cooking oil available....there are two types of fatty acids in coconut oil and it's theorized that the fatty acids dissolve the hard shell of the HIV virus allowing it be penetrated by the acids which destroy it.

Oh wow! I didn't know that ...that's very interesting ...

Human milk, goat & cow's milk also are a good source of lauric acid (which is one of the acids in coconuts, the other is caprylic acid). There was an old-time remedy many years ago for babies who had pink-eye, that was to squeeze a few drops of breast milk in the eyes and the pink-eye infection would heal up (back when most all mothers breast fed and before antibiotics were invented).

The article is probably true. Many people, including doctors, refer to a "cure" for herpes when they really mean making the viral outbreak subside; in other words, it cures the sore.

There were times all the nonsense were told of coconut and coconut oil...it is not good for health...increasing cholesterol...
Now coconut has come rare.... and some are eager for promoting it ...
greenmountaingal · 70-79, F
There is no cure for herpes. What you probably mean is that it can have a strong anti-viral effect and help to clear up a herpes outbreak.

I'm just saying that's what read in this article ,I don't know that it's true
Anti viral?
