Why do we all focus so much on what makes us upset?

Because we don’t want to be happy. We want to be miserable so that we can strive for happiness. If we were happy then what would we strive for?

I could argue that enough negative shit comes from the things that happen to us each day/week/month/year...
Shouldn't that be enough to drag us down to where we can strive for happiness again?
Need we stew in the middle of traffic, or rage against our wives for not doing this or the other? Are we that desperate for misery?

@SW-User when I feel happiness it can be overwhelming and intense. I’d rather keep it that way than become conditioned to it and not appreciate it. Can’t appreciate the light without the dark
