An expensive monument to the wasteful slaughter of beautiful wildlife

@GJOFJ3 oh please . That’s great meat . Lying dead in the snow feeding a pack of wolves sound better to you ?

@TexChik If he ate the carcasses then it’s a good thing.

@PissAndVinegar I agree.
What’s the trophy prove anyway? That with a gun, you can shoot and kill a deer? From a long distance away? Heck, anyone could do that. 🤦

It’s disgusting and morbid for sure.

@TexChik Don't use the food argument. I grew up in a very poor area where our main meat was venison. I can assure you we didn't take the trophy bucks as the meat is not very good. This type of trophy hunting is just that.

@PissAndVinegar obviously he’s not Russian , nor is there a bear in view. And Russian views are not exactly the standard by which Americans base their decisions on . Harvesting one “ trophy” animal in a life time is rare enough and it is considered as honoring the animal to preserve it in such a way as to display its natural beauty .

@GJOFJ3 Dont use your personal preference for wild game meat as the standard everyone else to follow . You don’t like hunting ? Couldn’t support your self or survive in the out doors ... , those are your personal issues. Or does American freedom only cover YOUR PERSONAL preferences?

@PissAndVinegar to you maybe . But hunters are free to honor their harvest in their own way. The taking of game animals for personal consumption is legal, monitored, beneficial to the species and the environment , not to mention the hunter . Financially hunters put billions back into the economy , and the money derived from licensing and taxes on hunting goods funds the government’s wildlife programs .
