Do you follow the world news? If so, why?

To inform yourself? To be aware? Vicarious entertainment maybe? Do you.. care? about the plights and the triumphs of your fellow human being three quarters of the way around the globe? Why do you care?

I do take an interest. Just such a pity that news coverage is always on the same (often dreary) subjects !

On those days which are [i]clearly[/i] slow news days, i wish they'd cover what's happening in South America or Africa or New Zealand !

There's only so many times i can give a toss about where Trump is today or what some non-entity politician thinks about Brexit.

Indeed it doesn't interest me one bit. Even what goes on in my own neighborhood rarely interests me. But I do follow some of it, the only reason being I do interact with people at work and it's not professional if you don't know anything about what goes on around me.
