I do take an interest. Just such a pity that news coverage is always on the same (often dreary) subjects !
On those days which are [i]clearly[/i] slow news days, i wish they'd cover what's happening in South America or Africa or New Zealand !
There's only so many times i can give a toss about where Trump is today or what some non-entity politician thinks about Brexit.

Indeed it doesn't interest me one bit. Even what goes on in my own neighborhood rarely interests me. But I do follow some of it, the only reason being I do interact with people at work and it's not professional if you don't know anything about what goes on around me.
