Sterling - I think I am looking at the word forsaken as negative. And you're looking at it positive. So its perspective. But what you say is what I am saying... sans the technicalities of the word interpretation.

SW-User
Sterling - letting go of things holding us or weighing us down. Forsake oneself is abandoning oneself whereas letting go of things weighing us down is the opposite of forsaking oneself.

SW-User
Yes, but as you implied. Losing yourself can be a very good thing. I makes you evolve into something better with more potential. That could be called discovering yourself, or at least what you were meant to be. Sacrifice is what makes something grow in other ways. So I guess either can be seen as finding yourself. Some people lose themselves to become something new. Others run away to recover what they once were. Both involve letting go of something.

SW-User
TheTofuMaster - I know you said rhetorical but I will answer anyway. If you ever let go, then you become you.

SW-User
Popmol - you do not need to be sorry. :)

SW-User
Sterling - The way we act upon our weights is what makes us. So yes, responsibilities hold a character. However, some people get lost under the weight on their shoulders, do they not? And lose themselves in there.

SW-User
I personally feel like our weight we carry is part of what makes us. Responsibilities and bearing them says a lot about character.

SW-User
Popmol - it is not necessary for everyone to be able to do something because it is deemed good. :) You don't worry about it.

SW-User
I'm not sure what you mean by "let go" Aido. I said forsaking oneself, but you've never done that? So how would one "let go?"

Attempting it. :) Once we can do so, a minute will not be small. It will multiply.

If it ever happens, then who am I? (Rhetorical question)

SW-User
Sterling - others can forsake me, I will never forsake myself. :)
