If you couldn't stand a friend's kid, would you tell them?

Absolutely not, that's rude.
If the kid's an ass, I should get to say it.

seems pretty mean even if it is true, you'll likely ruin the friendship.

@ZenKitzune What if the kid, at four or five years old, shit on your floor and dumped glitter everywhere? (this actually happened with the kid of my mom's friend)

@GentlyWithAChainsaw when you have kids you'll understand that kids do stuff like that sometimes I'm afraid. My nephew has adhd and is a real handful but I wouldn't make my sister feel bad by saying something like "I don't like your kid".

Fair enough. Guess I'm just a bit sour cause he trashed our house (not limited to what I told you), in front of people, and got in no trouble.

@GentlyWithAChainsaw sounds like the fact the friend didn't discipline their kid is more the issue here. Kids will do what they can get away with.

Ah, yeah, true...I remember being a little kid and straight up chopping half my hair off cause I knew I wouldn't get in real trouble over it...
