I Hate When People Disappear In The Middle Of A Conversation

What's the deal with people who randomly PM you, then disappear after an exchange of a few short messages? [removed by staff] just did this to me a few hours ago. So weird.
I have no issue with being PM'ed out of the blue, happy to chat to anyone, but is this a spam thing? Am I now supposed to be wondering where she's gone? Does she want me to follow her? I'm a bit slow on all this sort of tech-thing so would appreciate some thoughts from other people / experts here!

EDIT -
I'm adding some additional text below the original post here, just because there seems to be some confusion... This is a post asking whether a specific user (mentioned above) is a BOT or spam. This is not me thinking that this user is a real person who just left a conversation. If it were I wouldn't have posted it as I realise people can and will just suddenly leave conversations.

@LyricalOne Ha ha! Well I'm not sure where she (if indeed it is a she) sensed that from, because I wasn't calling anyone out, just asking a question that required a username as a reference. Also none of my previous 53 posts on here call anyone out for anything, because I'm not that type of person.

Still, all you have to do is delete the message or flag it. Plenty of people who aren’t spammers or bots (you won’t necessarily know who’s who) do the same thing and don’t appreciate being called out. I’ve had a couple of people I didn’t realize were psychos at the time go ballistic when I didn’t return their PMs on their time schedule. I’m actually surprised they didn’t post a question like this using my name.

I'll be honest I'm really confused as to what your point is? Why are you talking about deleting messages or flagging them? In what context/why would I do that?

Yes I get that people don't like being "called out" but youre missing the entire point; I'm not calling anyone out for doing something I didn't like!!!!!!!!! I'm simply asking if anyone knows if this person is some sort of BOT, and I can't do that without actually saying that persons name, duh.
I am not talking about being annoyed at unanswered messages, I'm asking "is this a spam thing?"

Seriously, I wish I hadn't bloody asked now... lol

@sleepyhead Oy vey, let me try this one more time. If you suspect a message is spam, all you have to do is delete the message or you can flag the message for Admin to make a determination.

The point is that you DON'T KNOW if the person is some sort of BOT. So you might very well be calling out someone who is NOT a bot. "Randomly PMing and disappearing" could describe ANYONE. Duh.

I really don't know how to make this any clearer without breaking out my finger puppets and doing a show for you. 😕

You’re aware that people are allowed to ask for other people’s thoughts on here. You don’t always have to delete or contact Admin...
