I Love Compliments

The best compliments I love hearing are those that appreciate any personality qualities rather than looks. I am flattered when people call me beautiful or pretty but I hear it often and when someone compliments a certain quality I have, I feel that person has taken the time to understand me and look beyond the physical appearance.

Compliments about looks are not necessarily shallow though. I couldn't help complimenting a lady recently because her hair style fit her facial features perfectly. I normally don't notice or care about that, but she really did a good job of choosing that hair style. It was really striking. So I complimented her looks, but I wasn't trying to flirt and was really saying something about her choices, which gets more into personality. You know what I mean?

And that is a very fair point! Those compliments are always nice to receive or to give. It can make someone's day so much better.
