Maybe not the "best", but certainly one of the most satisfying 'compliments' I received was when I was in a checkout line in a hardware store, and a very attractive woman in front of me turned around, smiled and said to me;
"You know, you wouldn't be too bad looking if you shaved that scruff".
To which I replied: "Then it's a good thing I'm not looking for a girlfriend, isn't it?"
She stormed and stomped out of there purple faced and steam coming out of her ears. 🤣
