I burned out Son of a preacher man and some others, but try not to do that. Burned myself out on Harry Nilsson, was hooked for a couple years in the early 2010's
@Dan193 Well, yes. That mastering session was in 1994, when I barely knew anything about it. Now I know more about it, including when I have to stop working, 10 hours is the maximum. I also know how not to get burned out on favorite songs, lest my OCD take over.
It must be something really special for me to play it again after it finishes. 3 times in a row is typically enough with anything. Then I need a break and will listen to it later again. I typically play a song twice a day if I really like it but it also depends on the length and composition. For example, Nightstalker by Kenji Kawai is something that can be easily looped and I wouldn't even notice at first.
@CrazyMusicLover yeah I get it the part where the song loops and u realize it's been like 4-5 plays already. I normally don't listen to music. I like the quiet, but sometimes I hear a song somewhere and I like it enough to Shazam it, download it and loop it all day until I get tired of it.
I did that with Coldplay, Something just like this, song. I played it on loop for about a week. I found an hour long version of it on YouTube on loop and got fed up with it straight away. I didn’t listen to it for weeks after that but I still say it’s one of my fave songs of all time.
