Are you ever forced to be around annoying loud people that never shut up?

I´ve been married.

Co-workers

Occasionally but thankfully not very often.

I know a coupleof men who dominate the room simply being unable to talk at ordinary volume, not to overcome everyone else.


I was told by a mutual friend a story about one who is not loud in volume but in attitude, pretending he knows everything about anything even when obviously knowing nowt about it.

The way it was narrated, I wish I had been there to witness it...

Know-owt had fallen into conversation with a fellow pub customer about the 'Spitfire'. A builder by trade, he went smugly on and on about the WW2 aeroplane as if the World's leading expert on it, trying either to demolish everything his victim said, or to agree but in a way claiming superior and prior knowledge over the point.

Eventually, I was told, the victim demolished Know-nowt, by simply telling him,

"You clearly nothing about the Spitfire. I am an air-engineering mechanic maintaining the preserved Spitfires in flying condition!"

I know people like that. I feel embarrassed for them
