"Time to go. Not a friendly place any more."

Some delulu after a little taste of their own poison.

It’s not unfamiliar for me to meet people from Europe and other regions who encourage me and cheer me on when I criticize Islam or Muslims.

But the minute I criticize the actions of their own governments or groups or politics, they change colors faster than a chameleon and attempt to either manipulate or harass me.

And then, after a while, they play the victim when they get any form of retaliation from me.

So spineless. So pathetic.

People like me can’t be bought with praise nor with social acceptance.

We just can't.

If we can stand against our own for our own values, no new person would be an exception, espacially not some online faceless person.

We aren't the same.

Each community is different. I used to post in a technology related subreddit on Reddit and people over their were nasty. Two guys from there created their own subreddits and both are positive places were people can post related content without being called names by old timers who think they know it all.

The problem is people get set in their own ways and are too stubborn to accept new ideas. Above is just a small example.

Religion is something a lot of people use as a weapon. They dont fully understand its teachings but use it to tell you how to live.

Nationalism is the same way, people will be defensive when you call out their government because they view it as a representation of their values. Likewise, some people believe the government represents the beliefs of all the people who live in a nation. My government does not represent any of my views. However, if I told people where I'm from, they would think that I think a certain way based on my nationality. This isnt true, as I am a progressive and a free thinker.

I hope that makes sense. If you want me to expand or clarify some things I can. I am just looking to bounce ideas off people and dicussions like this are interesting to me.

I met very few people online who weren't wildly biased. When I critized the recruitment in Ukraine it was also called "Russian propaganda" several times. I wouldn't live here if I didn't like it, doesn't mean I can't have complaints sometimes though. 🙄

@Nightwings

Your very existence challenges the narratives they wish to believe in. Easy to run their mouths.

People who wish to opt out from any military, even the military I worked for, should be allowed to, espacially in a state of war. Obligatory drafting makes no sense ethically. No one should be forced to die for someone else's cause and benefits.

Training though in a safe environment is a smart move to allow those who later decide to defend their country a head start but serving in active war against your own will has no moral basis whatsoever.

People are unrealistic. Espacially those living in comfort. Too much binary thinking lacking nuance.

@Miram There is no logic in such people's minds, they have outsourced their thinking to Twitter posts and TV. The same many people who DMd me to tell me that they pray for my family's safety, now don't think my family deserves to be safe if they are drafted. The drafting is part of the dangers of war, and it is the only real danger which my family has faced since the beginning.

My husband's alcoholic uncle joined the military willingly, a bit more than a year ago. A week ago, we got news that he's being sent to the frontlines. He is very frail, and have many health issues. He did not receive any military training in the barracks, and have been doing odd jobs like standing guard, checking documents etc. It may not sound very nice, but I think that sending him to the frontlines now, is practically just using him as cannon fodder.

My husband's cousin is doing well for now, but it is always possible that they suddenly decide to send him to the frontlines too. He was captured by the recruiters on the street around 2 months ago. He is also not receiving military training, since he's learning to operate drones instead.

It is also possible that they send you to the frontlines right away after capturing you. That happened to the son of a woman which my husband's mother is friends with.

They do unfortunately also recruit many people who are very ill, some so ill that that they die in the bus on their way to the barracks. Not only do they recruit physically ill people, they recruit mentally ill people too. This is obviously against the law, but it happens nonetheless.

I do not understand how people can put a piece of land before human lives. Ukraine is not going to win this war, so everyone they capture and put in the army, are living on borrowed time. If the war lasts many more years, they have to be lucky to survive. They always need more people on the frontlines.

I can't fathom how people write to me that they wish such a fate upon a person I love dearly, and expect me to reply diplomatically. It is such a strange way to behave, that I am starting to wonder if perhaps they are not real people. Maybe they're advanced AI bots lol. 😅

I have come to believe that it's a waste of time to even pretend they are capable of rational thinking. I used to believe that everyone is equal, and deserve equal respect. I have since changed my beliefs. I do not think it is worth it to treat them like real human beings anymore, hence I will simply acknowledge that they're below me, and that there is in fact such a thing as value when it comes to human beings. 💀

As a Baha’i I am, I have respect for all religions and cultures that’s what I like about the Baha’i faith it’s open to everyone

Respect shouldn't be synonymous with passiveness and lack of criticism. Ideologies aren't people so they can't get disrespected. Personifying ideologies is not a wise choice.

@Miram what too many big words in a summary

I think it’s your job to criticize everyone, constructively if possible, but severely when necessary. You are our conscience. ❤
Who was dragging you?
