I laugh at myself for being able to relate.

I suffer when you suffer.
To care this much ,and at the same time know that not long ago, I would've never been afforded the same level of care.
In fact, I was just a collateral damage.
I care about so many people that I know have only personalized me after I survived, and without a doubt conditionally.
Not during.
Not when I needed it most.
And what hurts most is knowing that no matter how much one cares, it may not be enough to save anyone. Cares and tries in actions.

This is human.

We all suffer, but the shapes of our sufferings take mock our circumstances. I starved in the ruins of war, scraping crumbs from rubble. You starve under fluorescent lights, fridge sometimes half full , sometimes not, but spirit always hollow, praying for the will to eat...depression, loneliness, feeling unworthy and unloved... Some pray the bombing stops. You pray the noise in your head will. You can't keep buying your pills. They don't have clean water to swallow the pills.

Will things change to the better? I don't know. I only wish they will for everyone.

Whatever gave me PTSD, I can't remember (or at least don't recognize) and I'm not sure I want to. I don't specifically remember being through a lot of things that other people have, and yet I still feel their pain vividly. I read news headlines or hear podcasters talking about things that happened to people, and I think, "That is such a two-dimensional way to phrase it." Even when people in my country talk about history, we do it in a way that belittles everybody else, including those who were stomped out. The human race as a whole doesn't make any effort to honor those we have failed. It weighs heavily on me.
@Miram What would be an exception, or better yet, what would not be?

I can only give examples.

Refusing to eat meat because you know that all meat you can buy comes from abusive sources isn't a heavy burden in lot of situations, I don't think. Yet people fail to do this. It is a rather trivial sacrifice.

What would be a heavy burden is going to jail because you were whistle blower. Participating in a revolution to overthrow a government that bombs innocent people. Abandoning conventional religious path amd risking your life because it normalizes killing...those are heavy burdens.
@Miram Oh yeah. If you fear for your life or your loved ones, proactive standards can change.

When I hear people constantly downplaying or changing parts of history or even modern day conflicts, I get angry.
