Is it weird to stick up for a woman you don't particularly care for?

There is a woman I don't particularly care for and we usually don't get along, but I noticed this guy was bugging her, even after she made it clear that she wasn't interested. I came over and told him when a lady says no, she means it, and he left.

@Gangstress I try to be a gentleman as much as possible, even towards women who I don't think are the best people, something my mom instilled in me.
