should you care how the public perceive you

sometimes i get a bit conscious of how people in my local area perceive me....because i want people to have the 'true' 'right' perception not anything untrue.....but should i really care about it? do you care?

I mean, no, not really. People are going to think whatever they want to think anyway so as long as I'm not sleeping with somebody's husband or truly harming another person, why let it bother me? I know who & what I am & that's really all that matters.
