That I don't respect them.

Sometimes while discussing, I prefer to openly present my point of view and also expects the same from others. Sometimes I refute to their point so strongly that they think that I am against them. While, in my perception, they and their point in the discussion are two different things. I was talking just against their point, not against them.

I simply couldn’t agree more, especially here.

Just because I might not concur with your opinion doesn’t mean I don’t like you or respect you as a person. I’m simply not that triggered.

@Adogslife Thanks. :)

I don't understand why people can't discuss without linking it to their ego. We should be open to accept different ideas without considering it as our defeat in terms of ego.

@ABCDEF7 people have forgotten how to agree to disagree..i dont need my friends to think the same way as me or vote the same way, we are all individuals and are entitled to be so.

@Primnproper And that’s what’s fun. You can learn from others despite your differences.

@Adogslife yes, i like to see it from different view points, it broadens your perspectives.

@Primnproper it’s healthier to get along wherever possible too. anger is very unhealthy.

@Adogslife get along yes but not at the expense of your own beliefs. I look at it more as choosing your battles wisely. I dont see why having differences of opinions should cause anger.

@Primnproper "An argument is when you want to know, Who is right? A discussion is when you want to know, What is right?"

Unfortunately most people just argue, they don't see it as a healthy discussions with some learning outcomes.
