I think so. Continuing to hold onto unrealistic hopes can be emotionally devastating.

On the other hand, it is not always easy to know where to draw the line between being too quick to give up and being too stubborn not to. I think @Soossie's comment says it best.

@DrWatson I understand what you’re saying completely. I’ve been stubborn before instead of drawing the line and the only one to get hurt was myself..
