That's a tough question.
1. Ideally, I'd like a country where a lot of the people could speak or understand English while I learn some of their language.
2. I'd also prefer to go to a country where I already know someone there.
If I were to adhere to those two, then my two possible choices would be Spain, (as I have some relatives there and some of them speak and understand English,) or China, as my wife has relatives there that I have met, (when I visited twice before,) and some of them speak and understand English as well.
