I’m working with an architect who is very opinionated. Many of our conversations start with her saying,” I’m not an engineer but”. We were in a client meeting today, and she tried to go over my head about something I already told her wouldn't work.
She made the mistake of starting out with that same opener. The client stopped her right there…pointed to me and said…” well that's why I’ve got my engineer here”.
I explained why the architect’s idea was just flat out stupid and unworkable. After my explanation, the owner turned back to the architect and said, “yeah, we’ll do what the engineer says”.
I smiled, and had to hold in the laughter.

@blackarcher256 That’s great! That must be so annoying, why can’t people keep to their own lane.
