It's an adventure just getting to my house. I have to put my very capable vehicle in 4 wheel drive every time, and only go 4 miles an hour, for half a mile

@SW-User how come do you live up a mountain?

SW-User
@Primnproper I do in fact. It's a small one, but the dirt road is quite rough

@SW-User thats so awesome! I'd love that, not many visitors..lol
Do you get snow, how do you cope then?

@Primnproper Oh man, so much snow....too much snow. I'm not a fan of that. I have a snow moving machine, but it takes hours every time.

@SW-User wow, kind of sounds like heaven..snowed in with log fire, hot chocolate and books! Yay!

SW-User
@Primnproper In fact I do get snowed in for days at times. And I keep the wood stove burning, and keep plenty of long life food on hand for such events. Pasta, jarred sauces, soups, frozen meats, canned foods in general, spices, etc.

@SW-User That’s such a great way to live..you must have a lot of wildlife around you too.

SW-User
@Primnproper Have some acreage and woods, so, yes

@SW-User Amazing, you’re very lucky.👍

@Primnproper It's interesting to me that almost everyone who gains knowledge of my living situation says what you just said. Everyone apparently romanticizes it in their head. It's an incredible amount of work all the time. There is always so much to do with such a remote location. If you were retired, I suppose that you would love all the work. I'm still employed full time, so the massive amount of work the property always needs is quite unpleasant to me.

@SW-User but would you move? I’d enjoy being out of the rat race.

SW-User
@Primnproper and I actually like being in the rat race...
