I think one has to dig down and understand why the person cheated. You … and the cheater. It takes humility. Only then can you decide if the relationship is fundamentally flawed.

@Primnproper indeed. But if it’s important - and not all relationships are - it’s worth the discovery and whatever journey ensues will at least have answers and a broader understanding. Just being angry / hurt benefits no one, and those emotions are a heavy weight to carry around.

@DownTheStreet what you say makes absolute sense and I’m learning this from my daughter’s experience at the moment. Shes handling it amazingly, much better than I would.
