Do You Think You Put A Lot Of Weight Into First Impressions?

Yes.

I work on a survey that produces a cost index. We weight everything initially, the first time we collect it. For subsequent quarters, we just update the costs, but we do not change the weights.

So we put all our weight on first impressions!

@JoyfulSilence ok then that seems a necessity.

Actually, it isn't, LOL!

We are about to change to a new method where we reweight every few years, as our respondents age (the weight is the number of workers they employ).

So we put them on the scale more often! 馃榿

@JoyfulSilence oh right so do you think that will work out better?

@Primnproper

Somebody does. It was not my idea. Yet they retired so I have to help implement it. I personally do not know if it is better. But management is convinced .
