Derogatory Names

Why do some adults (supposedly) find it necessary to call others derogatory names or assign hurtful nicknames to others? It just seems like the human race has regressed.

I’m more offended by radical policies that affect my way of life than silly names. Call me crazy but my self-survival trumps everything else in life. Being bothered by verbal insults is not a good idea if you wish to survive in a demonic world.
