Maybe it's arrogant of me,
but I think it's usually best to think of people as just people, irrespective of x or y genes.
Most of us have an ego. If we mature, we eventually discover that ego issues aren't that important. What matters most is empathy, kindness, honesty, responsibility and making the best of our circumstances.
We all have pretty much the same basic drives, depending on age and health.
If we do something simple, liking asking others what they need, with a little practicality and creativity, we can usually find mutually satisfying ways to meet them.
We suffer most when we let ego, power issues, greed, anger or ignorance rule us.
