If you are over the age of 40 a metal roof makes no sense.
It’s a waste of money unless you have ventilation issues or not enough insulation.

@Bexsy metal is the best of the best if installed correctly. It’s also three times as much. Well for standing seam. Barn steel is better but not by a lot. All shingles made today will go 40 years. Steel will last…. Longer. Much longer.
Shingles have a lifespan. When they hit that end they blow off.
