Do You Donate To These Charities That Run Ads On TVs In The Evening Showing Suffering Children or Suffering Animals That Need Help?

Cause there is a very detailed article on a website called The Burning Platform about “Big Charity Scams” where that money goes. To executive salaries and huge amounts to employees. These charities are setting on billions of dollars of assets and still begging money off of kind-hearted people who are buying into it. It’s sickening and I already knew they were scams. When they use the word suffering they draw it out to get our sympathy.

No I don't. Usually less then 10% of your donation as goes to what you intended it for. I prefer donating to local animal charities where I know 100% goes to what I intended it for.

@Musicman I just feed the feral cats when they are hungry. No tax write-off needed. Help locally and you know where your money is going.

@cherokeepatti Exactly! When a local shelter says they need cat food I donate cat food. That's not going in anyone's pocket. I have fed feral cats before. We haven't had any in a couple of years though.

@Musicman yes I have caught taken a couple of feral females to the animal shelter to be spayed. They will try to find homes (these were gentle enough to be adopted) and if they aren’t adoptable they will bring them right back to the neighborhood and drop them off with a clipped ear. Would still need to help them with food but they won’t be breeding and creating more ferals to feed. I have seen a room with the food, toys, towels, and other things that they need at the shelter and they get a good variety of items that are donated. Helps them stay on budget.
