Most marine mammals have white belly’s to confuse predators .

They're a fictional creature, so I don't get the deal when people made a fuss about Disney casting a Black woman as one.

@Emosaur 😂 That was my thought too.

Each Mediterranian culture has a mermaid, technically siren, myth, but none of them are white, they're more light to dark olive skinned.
