Why Is Your Age Hidden?

I just wonder why some people don't reveal their age. Not that it's wrong or anything. I'm just asking.

It's so hypocritical -- the same people that say they don't want to show their age because they don't want to be judged are the same people that like seeing the age of other members before deciding if they want to reach out or not.
