My age when it comes to amusement park rides
akindheart · 61-69, F
@1pebbles well i hate them too!

@1pebbles Won’t ever ride a roller coaster due to back problems. Wouldn’t skydive or bungee jump either. Seriously not interested in them in the first place but some people like to challenge so I say that.

@cherokeepatti I'll do a roller coaster, no loops or twists, got an extreme headache the last time I did. Never, never will sky dive or bungee jump. Shattered left femur when I was 22. Not about to risk it again. I like watching people at the parks

@1pebbles About 20 years ago one of the young women I worked with (my daughter’s age) decided to save up her summer job money and go sky-diving. She talked about it for 2 months. She finally did it, paid to have a video made and brought it to worked and shared it with us at lunch time. She kept telling me I needed to go sky-diving. I was in my 40’s and no way in hell did that appeal to me. I don’t know some people advise others to do such things.

@cherokeepatti my daughter and her hubby buddy jumped skydiving.. they had fun, they do adventures... Round and still can.

My collision at 22 out a halt in things like that in my life

@1pebbles yeah I was in a motorcycle accident going 60 mph when I was 19. I don’t like that type of g-force. The place that this girl went to seemed pretty safe. Till they had an accident and people died years later. There is always going to be some kind of risk of life when people choose to do such things.

@cherokeepatti nearly killed myself I the car.... Life is too short

@1pebbles Makes a person think seriously about taking such risks after you’ve had a close call. I walked away from that motorcycle accident but when it happened I thought I was going to die. I didn’t even have to go to the hospital but was sore for about a week. Have bone spurs in my neck and lower back now. The chiropractor said I did well to walk away from it and not die or be paralyzed.

@cherokeepatti I do chiropractic exercises every day to deal with how I compensated walking as I was in daily pain. Doing the exercises for about 4-5 years now, back is straight and aligned, pain controlled. I'm grateful every day as my scars are a testament of what ivd overcome
