I Admire Common Sense
I do too! But most people who say this are frequently saying one thing to us.
And that is: Since we have been born on Earth and pretty much have mothers, fathers, family, work, school and the sun also rises. Then we must all Think, Act, Obey, Eat, raise children, and do government very much like everyone else, kids.
Do not take this too badly for we do need some functions to happen automatically in an alike situation. (To stop at a red light or Driving) No one has to think like you or I.
I do not constantly expect everyone to have common sense. First of all everyone in the world was not raised by my parents or yours.
Secondly who ever gave you or me the right to judge whether asked or not and then expect to lay your or my judgment on others.
Third thought is do we really know what that common sense is for the next person. You would not steal, right? But what if a you had no money were far away from friends & family and you were outside without food, clothes, education, or as in some cases medically poor or battered?
I have seen my common sense work wonders for people who think like me. But given some situations my common sense would not work at all. I am Just reminding us not to judge too quickly. Especially about what is considered common sense. Mother Wit is another term for common sense. Maybe we should use a mothers' compassion when judging common sense in others.
