@NativePortlander1970 😬What kinda man listens to that song.
NativePortlander1970 · 51-55
@Lostpoet It's a good catchy song, reminds me of a lot of 80's and 90's tunes

@NativePortlander1970 Are you a woman?
NativePortlander1970 · 51-55
@Lostpoet Does that matter?
Lostpoet · M
@NativePortlander1970 I guess not, but I think mostly women like that song.

@NativePortlander1970 🙄I was like twelve when that movie came out.
NativePortlander1970 · 51-55
@Lostpoet Your point being, what?
Lostpoet · M
@NativePortlander1970 Why would I know about a movie like that and only women listened to that song.
NativePortlander1970 · 51-55
@Lostpoet You sure about that Skeeter?
Lostpoet · M
@NativePortlander1970 Doug?
NativePortlander1970 · 51-55
@Lostpoet Close, but no. I am 55, older Gen X, I had Lady Marmelade's original version on 45 and listened to it often, which is why your post's lyrics were so familiar. Yes, I grew up listening to and loving disco.

@NativePortlander1970 It was the Christiana version I heard playing very loudly, but I didn't want to say nothing because I didn't want to know who was listening to it although I have ideas of who it was.
Maybe Marmalades is better

@Lostpoet I liked Christina's version just as much, with Lil Kim and Pink
Lostpoet · M
@NativePortlander1970 🤔 How do you feel about other men? Jk😡And don't block me.
Lostpoet · M
@NativePortlander1970 Pink, Christiana, Lil Kim were all very attractive at the time, but I wouldn't be caught dead jamming out to that song.

@Lostpoet Care to explain why? Good music is worth listening to.
Lostpoet · M
@NativePortlander1970 Everyone else on here seems to have gotten it. I'm in an all male facility that means no women. And a dude was blasting this song out loud from his room. It's not the manliest thing to be listening to.
NativePortlander1970 · 51-55
@Lostpoet And what makes YOU the one to ASSume it's not, hmmm?
NativePortlander1970 · 51-55
@Lostpoet 40 years ago it was spread around that any teenage boy that listened to the Purple Rain soundtrack liked to bend over for other teenaged boys, same with Boy George. Mind you this was being said by teenage boys who were metalheads that often blasted Judas Priest, whose lead singer, Rob Halford, actually did like to bend over for other men. So STOP generalizing.
Lostpoet · M
@NativePortlander1970 It was a joke 😞
Lostpoet · M
@NativePortlander1970 And yes, Boy George still gives off those vibes although I think the lead singer of Korn has said that he listened to Boy George and Korn is one of my favorite bands.
NativePortlander1970 · 51-55
@Lostpoet What vibes?
Lostpoet · M
@NativePortlander1970 Gay vibes
