It could be not that time to meet the right people yet But,

I feel that relationships nowadays take a long time to build but a short time to fall apart. You spend time connecting, building trust, and revealing yourself, but as soon as even minor issues arise, the other person quickly withdraws as if nothing happened.
It seems that most people aren't serious about getting to know you at the beginning; perhaps that's why they withdraw so easily after a while. I'm not describing everyone, but I find it rare to find people with whom you can truly build a relationship that you're certain will last longer than the time you spent building it .

@Orphic = It's all about fulfilling needs and desires. For instance, you can fulfill my needs and desires by being a gorgeous woman with a beautiful smile, a soothing voice and touch and a pleasant personality. But I may not fulfill your needs and desires by not taking out the household garbage everyday, leaving my clothes on the floor, and not squeezing the tube of toothpaste properly. You will then become angry and eventually dump me although I will still be madly in love with you.

And yet we keep on trying. Hoping that eventually our time and effort pays off.

@djjohnson Hope the best for you.

I believe you are correct. And I place the blame at the feet of the individuals expectations these days. What used to be keeping up with the Joneses. (Your neighbours) has become keeping up with the Kardashians. And for many people, if a prospective partner cant keep up the pretence (and it is just a pretence) they dont make the cut. The best, most long lasting relationships are " You and me against the world".. Those people know the real you, warts, farts and all and still love you.😷

You don't really need these relationships anyway. I choose to avoid them. Much less drama.

That's not just today. That's always been true. The only difference with today is you have generations that have been spoiled with instant gratification. They didn't put in much effort to begin the relationship, let alone end it.
