if we dont trust our federal government now, why are so many in favor of giving up more their hard earned income and freedoms??

I don't fully trust the federal government, no. BUT. I have even less trust in the billionaires and trillion dollar corporations that want to end government regulations! It's a question of the lesser of two evils, and the trillion dollar corporations are the greater evil.

No idea, but I'm glad the people started pushing back more than ever before. Most recent elections give me hope that the USA can come back stronger from this power grab.

Leaving Congress less powerful when it comes to corruption. The Feds set their own standards instead of Congress abusing them.

The President will just triddle it's thumbs.
