Why society and men are so threatened by women's right and freedom to date and marry freely? ( unless the woman is being irresponsible)

@sahi81 The US and Canada have some discrimination toward women, but not as bad as India.

I've never been to Northern European countries like the UK, Germany, Norway but I believe they are even better than the US in those terms.

India is quite strict on women compared to some other places.

@SinlessOnslaught i faced gender discrimination and bullying even with US men , but they seemed ok with women's freedom to date and marry though. They seemed judgemental of women have sexual desires...

@sahi81 I believe you. Like I said, prejudice exists everywhere. But based on what you’ve described, and some of what I’ve seen myself, it sounds like the culture where you’re living now puts an especially heavy burden on women.

@SinlessOnslaught yes ! i was scared to marry due to all this, i didn't feel safe to date, marry divorve, etc men where i live.

@SinlessOnslaught Women safety is so bad too , honor based violence is also high in a country with highest rape rates.
