One thing I really can’t stand? Being asked “why?” — especially after I’ve already said no.

“Do you want this?”
“No, thank you.”
“Why not?”
…Because I don’t like it. Because I’m not in the mood. Because I said no.

Not everything needs an explanation. I used to feel like I had to justify my choices, even the small ones. But then I saw a clip of Mary-Kate and Ashley in an interview where one of them said, “No is a full sentence.” And honestly? That’s been my favorite quote ever since.

It’s simple. It’s respectful. And it’s a reminder that boundaries don’t always need backstories. 💬❌

What I hate most is

"Do you want this?"
"No, thank you".
"Are you sure?".

When they ask if I'm sure, I feel like saying "Let me call my mom and ask her what she thinks I should do because I think I may need a second opinion of what I don't want!".

@swirlie to be honest I love being asked “are you sure?” when it comes to food. “Do you want some?” “No thank you” “are you sure?” Because after thinking about it for a sec, I absolutely do want some GIVE ME SOME
