We can now thank prosperity for bringing us - among other things - two million cars, millions of glaring, grey-black electronic entertainment boxes,

and many unnecessary buildings to cover the green earth. Wealth and surplus money have led to financial gambling and rampant social injustice, whereby 'the common people' end up contributing to the construction of golf courses, classy hotels, and holiday resorts, while fattening Swiss bank accounts. Besides, the people of wealthy countries are the most frustrated, unemployed, unhappy, suicidal, sedentary, worthless and aimless people in history. What a miserable exchange.

While true, first world problems are still nothing compared to those actually hungry, or needing assistance, so I guess it all becomes a disguise. Complaining about classy hotels, worthless living might pale in comparison to how some live. I guess it comes down to how you measure.

Yip, we cant get it right with capitalism, we can't get it right with communism. And the " middle" is drying up, once the middle is completly gone, its time for WWW3 to restart the economics game and re-shuffle the pareto-principle deck of cards, good luck.

@Rudboy41 I agree that both capitalism and communism are bad. The supposed rivalry between Marxist-inspired movements and capitalism has always been an illusion. Marxism, Communism and liberalism have been and continue to be exploited by the forces of international capitalism to further their global agenda, despite their surface disagreements. The ultimate goal of capitalism is to create a worldwide collectivist society of consumers, and Marxism is merely one means of attaining this.

@TommyDeZinna yes thats well said, the underlying driving force, dna of the beast, on either side is actially the same: self-interest. Which is blatant in a capitalist society, but its also there in a communist one, because there are players who are more "equal" than other equal players. A collectivist society votes with their collect interests and its not hard to see how well that works for a game of monopoly when it come to owing means of production and resources.

Without debating for hours, describing the many tentacles and sweat glands of the beast of marxism, capitalism etc it would be interesting to hear your thoughts on a suggestion of what an equitable or fair society might look like,

sadly i think we all have to go to bed every night knowing that life is not fair and never will be, for that to happen we would have to remove self-interest from man's heart, i.e greed completely. And that is impossible.
