Do you decide your beliefs, or do they decide you?

Positive beliefs are based on how you happen to the world in ways you choose.

Negative beliefs are based how the world happens to you in ways you don’t choose.

It’s the classic argument of… Seeing is believing vs. Believing is seeing.

Simplifying, one is never entirely a product of their beliefs or a product of societies beliefs, including their culture and family. It's much more fluid, if I used your reference "happens to you in ways you don't choose" means you are negative. Sorry, no. That begs people to conform, and change has never happened by simply saying, 'yes'. I can reject how the world is and just be myself too while loving people.

@awildsheepschase I’m not sure what part of that convinced you of conformity, but that is not what I meant. Many things happen to us beyond our control. A negative thought is based solely upon that. Conforming to society or not is entirely up to you.
@Reject As at one time negative/positive would not be placed in this binary choice we now place it as. Not sure I can explain it more right now

@awildsheepschase I think these two concepts are much simpler than you think. So simple as to be binary. Subtraction or addition. You take, or you give. Something happens to you, or you make something happen. It’s not that complicated.
