What's something about the US that is totally normal to a US citizen, that Europeans can't seem to wrap their heads around?

The sheer size of our country. You can drive from coast to coast in England in maybe 4 hours, It can take 12 hours to drive through some of our bigger states , Like Texas

@FreeSpirit1 Texas seemed a lot longer than that going westbound on the 10 in 2005.
