@sstronaut They sent spy planes from Mali to algerian territories. The military had enough of their shenigans and drop them down. The current gov are puppies of France and Morroco but also they were hiring russian mercenaries to strike Touareg territories which aggravated a crisis couple months ago.
After the plane was dropped down, Mali made false statements about what happened not realizing that the strikes were based on calculated decisions and evidence was gathered prior to them. After algerian officials released the evidence, Mali backed down on their statements. But the algerian government has already decided to close the southern borders and take more extreme measures.
This means that sub-saharan africans, refugees from warzones like sudan..etc wont be getting any help. It also means racism will get worse.
