calling in healthy should definitely be a thing..

“look, i am not coming in today. i feel good today and i don’t wanna waste it on being at work.”🥲🥲

Luckily for me I had a job where I could do just that so long as there were no important meetings planned for that day.

I didn't do it often.

Let’s do it tomorrow.

@Bowenw i wanna but i only have 3 call in days left, & they gotta last til august.
My response as a former manager would have been not to bother coming back in as it seems you don't think your job is important enough to help earn your paycheck to keep a roof over your head, pay bills, or to keep your refrigerator and cupboards stocked with food.

@NativePortlander1970 i go above & beyond as well… currently i am the only full time employee in my area, it’s exhausting. i am the one that trains all the temps, but i love it. i am given six call in days a year & i can use them whenever i want, for whatever reason i want 😌
@LaurenRae Just use those call ins wisely, I used to be a temp trainer in factories as well, but sadly my most favorite plastics injection molding factory went to Mexico at the end of 1996, only higher level supervisors, techs, and managers were allowed to go.

@NativePortlander1970 yup i have 3 call ins left & plan to use them when i am really sick or absolutely can’t make it in for whatever reason. 😇

I've done that just told them I didn't feel like coming in
@candycane That as a former manager I could understand, personal mental days were starting to become a valid reason when I was in management.
